Zielswezens

Zielswezens (soul beings) is a participatory art project developed for and with the clients of Reakt Rozenbottel in the Hague. Reakt is an organization that support people with mental health vulnerabilities who seek structure, connection, and self-expression. The project revolves around visualizing an inner source of strength: a quiet support, personal hero(ine), or memory that offers comfort or empowerment.

By creating a "zielswezen" ( a unique doll ) participants were given the space to give form, at their own pace, to what sustains them. Not only as a creative outlet, but also as a means of reflection, healing, and self-confidence. The project offered insight into the resilience and imagination of people who are often overlooked, and showed how art can contribute to personal growth and recognition.
